Light and airy Drapery Sheers
Draperies are the number one method for decorating the window. Draperies are defined as a panel or panels that cover the entire window that are moved with a traverse rod or baton. They may also be done as stationary panels. Draperies typically have some type of constructed top that is attached to a decorative rod or a standard rod.

If you need complete privacy or sun control you may opt for a pleated draw drapery that you can close during the hottest part of the day, or at night for privacy.
If privacy and sun control are not a priority, or you have blinds or shades, then you could choose side panels that tie back or hang straight and stationery.

Should Draperies be Lined?
Lining all window treatments, with the exception of sheers, is crucial. Lining not only prevents you from seeing any color from the outside, but it also protects your drapery from sun and moisture. Lining also makes your draperies hang better. Lining can provide sound absorption, light control and insulation. Lining can make a lightweight fabric hang fuller and richer. Drapery Sheers
These light fabric curtains can stand alone and add a light and airy feel to you room while diffusing the sun's light. When used in combination with drapery panels, they give your room a touch of depth and elegance. Sheer fabric is also available with patterns such as voile and lace.
Curtains
Curtains have a sleeve in the top for a rod to slide into. Three times the amount of fabric is used to manufacture this product.
The top of curtains may also be made as tab tops, grommet top, belt loops or as droopy panels to name a few. Curtains can be lined or unlined and may also be tied back. Curtains are not intended to be move like draperies.
Drapes, curtains and sheers can also be combined with valances, cornices, swags, cascades or scarves to add a unique and stylish option for your windows. Drapery hardware such as decorative curtain rods, finials and accessories add the finishing touch.
